SANDWICH ON A STICK!
MAKING A SANDWICH ON A STICK
Makes 24 sticks Total cost: $15.16 (with left over ingredients)
ASSEMBLE:
- Cutting board or other cutting surface
- Knife
- Platter or tray
- Toothpicks
- 5 small bowls or plates
- All ingredients
INGREDIENTS:
- deli meat of your choice ($3.99 for 9 oz.)
- string cheese or cheese sticks ($3.99 for 12 count)
- sliced whole wheat bread ($1.69)
- lettuce of choice pre rinsed in a bag ($2.50)
- 12 cherry tomatoes ($2.99 for 6 oz.)
- 24 toothpicks
Dipping sauce (optional):
- ranch dressing
- mustard
- mayonnaise
DIRECTIONS:
Wash hands before cutting the ingredients.
- Cut the ingredients below and place each in a separate bowl.
- Fold and cut deli meat in halves.
- Cut 1-2 slices of bread in strips, then into little squares.
- Rinse tomatoes and cut in halves.
- Cut cheese in cubes
- Using a toothpick, stick all of the ingredients in any order on a toothpick!
BE CREATIVE!
You can also use other ingredients such as cucumber, avocado, celery, snap peas, basil, arugula, and so much more!
You will have more left over ingredients to make more if you wish.
